I believe the "pay back" of having children, that my parents were awaiting for, is the time they spend seen every little gesture, the first smile, first laugh, first steps, bonding with these little being, and having the pleasure (if the parents take the time for it) to spend time with them until they are grown ups and will/should live theirs lives as they want to .
