Thanks for sharing this Kay! I applaused as much as possible! the way I connect to this “want to” versus “ready to” is being responsible for our commitments and the outcomes from our decisions. If you had engaged in a relationship with those boys, you could have “have to” go to their weddings ( a happy thing) or to their funeral as well. And that is the tricky “thing” in our lives: we don’t want sufffering either ours or our loved ones.
